About Ashley:
I’m Ashley, I have spent the past 18 years (and counting) studying, practicing, and teaching Pilates. In 2006 I moved to Austin from the small Texas town of Lampasas to pursue a career in Pilates. I became Certified in the Core Connections Pilates Program in 2006 at the Pilates Center of Austin. I received over 650 Hours of training from my teacher Wendy Leblanc-Arbuckle, a master in Pilates and movement work. I am passionate about sharing knowledge of Pilates as it is foundational for healthy posture and alignment. I love learning and in 2015 I pursued my 200-Hour Yoga certification then and received various other yoga certifications such as Prenatal yoga, Yin Yoga, and Aerial Yoga as well as Meditation. In the spirit of continued education, I recently pursued my lifelong passion for herbs and completed the Sacred Journey School of Herbalism in 2024. The idea of Combining medicinal herbs within a Pilates session came about and that’s where the idea for The Pilates Apothecary was born. 2024 was also a big year for me in other ways as I wrote the Rainbow Bridge Pilates Certification Program and have begun the journey of teaching and certifying new Pilates trainers.
